Love Island's Luca Bish will reportedly be face-to-face with Gemma Owen’s mum later on in the series as she appears in the 'Meet the Parents' episode, it has been claimed.
Fans had hoped her father Michael Owen would have been up for the task but it has now been said Gemma's her mum Louise is taking the task to greet the fishmonger turned reality star.
19-year-old dressage rider Gemma is currently coupled up with Luca, 23, and fans of the show could expect fireworks during the meet up with mum Louise as she's been described as ''intense".
"None of Gemma’s friends are surprised Louise is the one who will be heading over to take part in the programme if required," a source told the Daily Mail.
The source said the matriach had been "impressed with Luca's behaviour on the show" so it may go well after all with fellow equestrian Louise, who has been dubbed a "straight talking" mum.
The news of Louise possibly entering the villa comes after she posted a photo of herself with 19 year old daughter Gemma, as she declared that she was missing her on Instagram on Thursday.
The mum and daughter duo are extremely close with Gemma following her mum into the equestrian world and appear to get on well even socialising together with her friends.
And since heading to the Majorca Villa Louise has admitted she's 'missing her girl' as she shared a shot of the two of them together.
“Missing my girl so much,” the mum captioned the pic as she added a love heart and crying face emoji.
Meanwhile back on the show Gemma and Luca are looking to be favourites for the top spot but, all is yet to play for in the reality love nest.
Brighton boy Luca confessed his feelings after the re-coupling on Thursday night's episode.
He told Gemma on the terrace: "You know I've fallen for you and I've brought you to where we've had out first chat. It's gone a bit better since then but I've never been so sure in saying something because I've not seen a future with someone like I have with you and..."
Gemma giggled and said: "You're so cute."
"I think I'm in love with you," Luca quickly said. "No I am in love with you."
