A former Love Island contestant has an interesting theory to why Luca Bish has been clashing with fellow Islander Tasha Ghoudi.
Jay Younger - who was booted out of the Villa earlier this month - has pondered if perhaps the reason the fishmonger from Brighton is so rude to Tasha is down to the fact he secretly fancies her.
Luca has been disappointing Love Island fans lately, thanks to his reaction to watching girlfriend Gemma Owen's harmless interaction with another boy in Casa Amor during the show's notorious Movie Night.
The 23-year-old has also been accused of picking on Tasha over recent days, starting with his blunt advice to her last week when she and boyfriend Andrew Le Page found themselves in the bottom three after a public vote.
The Yorkshire beauty told Luca to "f*** off" during one tense exchange, when he suggested she was overreacting to the vote with her emotional reaction.
Speaking in the Beach Hut after the heated exchange, a tearful Tasha stated: "It came across very attacking, it wasn't really [said as] a friend."
And on Monday night's episode, a new argument was sparked between the two during a brutally honest game around the firepit.
Luca told to give a piggyback to the contestant 'most likely to ride on the coattails of their partner' in order to win the show and £50,000 prize fund.
After it was explained to him what the phrase 'riding someone's coattails' means, Luca plumped for Tasha - prompting a backlash from fans on social media.
Watching the show from home, former Islander Jay could resist tweeting his thoughts on Luca's savage choice.
"Luca, do you fancy Tasha? #LoveIsland," Jay mused to his 11,500 Twitter followers on Monday night.
"He's just bitter she rejected him in week 1," one fan replied to the star. "He clearly has an ego cos the comment he said to Paige for him getting pied was him rejecting her in week one where she said he was a s*** stirrer?? Thinks he’s god gift."
"Honestly that's my theory. I feel like a lot of this hatred and intense bullying of Tasha boils down to him resenting her choosing Andrew," another added, while a third quipped: "If you look at his reaction to her dancing scene when she dressed as a Barbie that would tell you everything."
While Luca may not be too popular on social media at the moment, he has got some support in the form of Love Island alumnae from previous series of the ITV2 show.
Both Olivia Attwood and Anna Vakili have spoken positively about the 23-year-old in interviews published on Tuesday - with Anna even admitting to having a little crush on him.
"I think Luca [Bish] is very sweet, I just hope he doesn't get himself walked all over," Olivia told new! magazine when discussing this year's series of the show that catapulted her to fame.
"He seems to be the only loyal boy in there - even though everyone is saying 'Oh, he just wants to meet [Gemma's dad] Michael Owen,' give the lad a f***ing break."
