Luca Bish has finally met his love interest Gemma Owen's football icon father Michael, according to reports.
Brighton-based fishmonger Luca, 23, is said to have been introduced to the England football star, 42, on Thursday August 11 – 10 days after leaving the Love Island villa with the 19-year-old on his arm.
Luca and Gemma are said to have flown out to the Algarve, Portugal on Thursday morning to meet the former Liverpool star at the family's villa in Quinta Do Lago.
Gemma's beau, who was snapped locking lips with Gemma recently, is said to have been "nervous" to meet the football star – after being introduced to Gemma's mum Louise when she came into the Love Island villa.
A source has told The Sun: "Luca has been nervous about meeting Michael which is, of course, totally natural.
"He adores Gemma and knows that he has to impress.
"They flew out from Gatwick this morning to spend time with him and Gemma’s mum at their private villa in Quinta Do Lago."
But, Gemma reportedly has "no doubt" Luca will impress her dad Michael.
Mirror has contacted representatives for Luca, Gemma and Michael for comment.
Shortly before Luca and Gemma's arrival, Michael shared a photo of himself sitting in a restaurant in Portugal on his Instagram page.
The image sees the former England football star smiling while folding his arms and sitting at a table inside the eatery.
As he shared the snap with his 426,000 followers, Michael wrote in the caption: "A few days of sun" followed by a smiling face wearing sunglasses emoji.
After jetting off to Portugal, Luca shared a snap of himself posing on a sun lounger and sporting the dressage rider's clothing brand – throwing his support behind her business ventures.
As he posted the image of himself looking away from the camera while sporting the grey trunks, Luca wrote in the caption: "Does this count as our first holiday together or? It’s only right that I wear @ogbeachwear @gemowen_1".
Meanwhile, Gemma shared a photo on her Instagram story of her sun soaked view of a stunning pool as she snacked on a croissant and some fruit.
The brunette beauty also plugged her beachwear line as she shared a photo of a branded fan as she sat by the pool – with her beau Luca seen taking a dip in the background.
Gemma and Luca are yet to become boyfriend and girlfriend – bucking the trend as the rest of the Islanders made their romances official.
Recently, Luca revealed he was waiting for the seal of approval from Gemma's mum Louise, who the Love Islander shares a close bond with.
When quizzed by his pal Jacques O'Neill, who recently apologised following bullying claims, he joked: "Yeah mate, it's coming. I'm just waiting on written consent from her mum aren't I?"
Luca added: "Louise is lovely. Me and Gemma are good, I'm seeing her tonight – we're getting some food."
