Luca Bish has teased fans he has finally dropped the big question and asked Gemma Owen to be his girlfriend.
The former fishmonger, 23, appeared on Saturday's episode of Soccer AM. He was asked if things were official with 19-year-old Gemma and told hosts they would "have to check socials" in the next few days.
Luca added: "Something might have happened."
The hint came after Gemma, who has recently signed a deal with PrettyLittleThing, took to her Instagram Stories on Friday night to share a cryptic post with her followers, suggesting Luca had finally asked to put a label on their relationship.
In the snap, Gemma's hand can be seen holding a huge bunch of red roses, with a Cartier bag in the background.
She captioned the post: "Oh my god guys! @lucabish," appearing to suggest Luca had finally taken the plunge and asked the international dressage rider to be his girlfriend.
She also posted a second picture from inside a swanky cocktail bar.
Earlier in the day, Luca had taken Gemma on a tour around Brighton. They passed the beach and Luca said: "We're gonna go down there later," with Gemma seeming surprised.
The pair had a lengthy romance in the Love Island villa, eventually finishing the show in second place. But, unlike many of the other couples in the final, Gemma and Luca left the villa without becoming an official couple.
Gemma had been clear during her time on the ITV show that she would prefer to become official after introducing Luca to her family and getting her mum's approval.
Michael Owen's daughter Gemma recently opened up about their relationship and said while things were going well, Luca felt "pressure" to make a grand gesture when he asked her out.
In her first YouTube video, Gemma said: "I know a lot of you are like: 'What's going on with Luca?' Things are going really, really well.
"Since being out of the villa things have changed for the better – feelings have grown so much more, which is kind of obvious. But, I wasn't expecting it to be going how it is."
She added: "I feel like there's been a bit of a build up now, people are like: 'When is it gonna be? When is it gonna be?' I feel like he's got a bit of pressure on him like: 'S**t I need to make something good out of this'."
