Love Island star Luca Bish has been slammed for ‘over-reacting’ to getting three votes for the least compatible couple in the villa from fellow Islanders.
Luca, 23, was upset when he learned three of the Islanders, including his close friend Dami Hope, had opted for he and Gemma Owen, 19, as least compatible.
Luca’s heated reaction occurred mere hours after his mum told him off for the same behaviour, when she and Luca’s dad appeared the show’s special Meet the Parents episode.
“We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, and there have been times when I’ve wanted to come in and give you a good telling off,” Luca’s mum said.
“Just sometimes overreacting. Well, Luca, when you come home we’ll have a chat about it.”
Addressing Luca’s behaviour towards Tasha Ghouri, Luca’s mum added: “Do you know what? You’ve resolved it. That’s the main thing. Yeah, you did overstep the mark.”
Her stern words come after over 5,000 Ofcom complaints were filed in the past two weeks in response to alleged “misogynistic” and “bullying behaviour” by the male Islanders, including Luca.
The telling-off seemed to have no impact on the star, however, as he later confronted Dami, 26, and Indiyah Polack for voting for him and Gemma.
Fans took to Twitter complaining about Luca’s behaviour, with one writing: “Luca is such a baby omg how is this a whole grown adult??? like hours after his mum said he needs to watch how he reacts to situations.”
A second commented: “Luca you should be happy just to be in the final with the girl you love, isn’t that the same thing you were telling Tasha????” as someone else said: “You know luca’s overreacting when even ekin-su isn’t making that big of a deal out of it.”
A fourth added: “Remember when Luca got angry at Tasha for being upset about being in the bottom 3 and said it shouldn’t matter because her and Andrew are together and that’s all that matters. And now look at his behaviour tonight. Complete and utter hypocrite.”
