Love Island's Liberty Poole says she can tell moments when producers have 'intervened' in show

Love Island star Liberty Poole has claimed she can tell which are the moments the producers of the show have intervened in.

The 22-year-old reality star, who appeared on the ITV show in 2021, has said she can spot when producers tell contestants 'to go for a chat'.

But the Birmingham-born telly personality has insisted that what comes out of the contestants mouths is not scripted.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Liberty said: "I think it’s quite funny because I think you see little hints of maybe they’ve been asked to go for this chat, like it's not staged.

"The producers can never tell you what to say, but they might say, 'oh why don't you chat to so and so?'."

Liberty has been watching this years’ series with fellow Love Island alumni and on screen bestie Kaz Kamwi.

She told the publication: "So, I think you can see little hints of it, and me and Kaz were laughing about it the other day."

Liberty won the nation’s hearts on last year’s series where she was coupled up with Jake Cornish.

However, she famously dumped him just four days before the final when questions over whether he was being genuine began to emerge.

She said at the time: "I just don’t think we’re right for each other."

They left the villa together following their breakup as they didn’t want to take votes away from the other couples still left in there as they competed for the £50,000 prize.

Liberty and her friend Kaz were recently caught up in a terrifying ordeal when they ended up in "the wrong part of the neighbourhood" and were held at knifepoint in Los Angeles.

They were said to have been threatened by a 40-year-old woman before two passers by intervened by calling the police.
