Love Island's Liam Reardon still has hope that he and Millie Court could make things work.
Fans were in shock after the couple split a year after they won the show, but now Liam has done a huge U-turn after he described Millie as "wife material".
The Welsh native's claims came after he joined the Celebs Go Dating line up to "take his mind off the break up".
After he was asked whether he would like to get back together with Millie, Liam, 23, told OK! that he "hasn't ruled it out".
"I know her morals and what she has, and that is something I would want in someone, in a wife," he said.
"I need to concentrate on myself and if it’s meant to be, we’ll find our way back to each other."
He explained how, despite ITV's best intentions in helping him to be ready for fame, he was "catapulted" into it.
The TV star moved from his home in Wales to live with Millie in Essex but said that he struggled with his identity.
"My career, bricklaying, was my life and then I’m not doing that, so it’s very unnatural. I didn’t know who I was. It was nothing to do with Millie, she is the perfect girlfriend."
Speaking about the split with Millie, he admitted that it "hurt" both of them.
He said that he had "gone off track" since winning and wanted to steer himself back.
After their split, there were rumours that Liam had been unfaithful but the pair took to Instagram to address those claims.
Sharing a photo of himself on his stories, he wrote: ""A lot of you asked how I've been coping.
"I'm doing good thank you to all that asked. It's been a difficult few months, with moving from my home in Essex to moving back to Wales and now back living back in Essex on my own.
"Break-ups can be very hard and being in the public eye just make it that extra bit more difficult to deal with especially when you have rumours etc coming out and people judging your character off something which isn't true.
"But I've been down and when you're down you can either stay down or do what you can to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move forward. And that's what I'm doing."
Liam said that the reason he joined Celebs Go Dating was because he wanted to get his "mojo" back.
He explained that he wanted to get back into the dating environment "without it being too serious in the real world".
