Love Island's Liam Llewellyn at risk after Davide Sanclimenti couples with Gemma Owen

Welsh contestant Liam Llewellyn, 22, is at risk of being the first contestant dumped from the Love Island villa after bombshell Davide Sanclimenti, 27, chose to couple up with Gemma Owen, 19 during the second instalment of the 2022 series.

The student from Newport had originally been coupled up with Gemma after the public matched them during a plot twist in the launch episode. However, after late arrival Davide's decision, Liam is now single and vulnerable.

During the recoupling, Davide told the islanders: "Naturally it’s not been easy to choose because in only 24 hours it’s difficult to try to know everyone and try to make the right decision.

"So I decided to couple up with this girl because there is not just attraction, I mean yes, she’s a stunning girl. I felt that we really had a good time and I would like to know her more.

"So the girl I would like to couple up with is Gemma."

Liam looked gutted as Davide announced who he had chosen, and his misery only continued after he received a text that said anyone not coupled up at the end of the week would be at risk of being dumped from the villa.

Not all hope is lost, however, as two new contestants are set to join the show's line-up on Wednesday night [June 8]. Afia and Ekin-Su have been announced as the latest bombshells with the public tasked with choosing their first dates. You can read more here.
