Love Island's Laura Anderson takes cryptic swipe at ex Gary Lucy ahead of giving birth

Former Love Island star Laura Anderson shared a cryptic message on Instagram about love and respect, with fans thinking she may have been making a dig at her ex, Gary Lucy.

The reality star, 34, met the Hollyoaks actor when they both took part in the latest series of Celebs Go Dating.

They became a couple afterwards, and revealed they were expecting a baby earlier this year.

However, shortly after the pregnancy announcement, Gary and Laura split.

In her latest post, Laura shares a lengthy quote which partly reads: "I just bring my best self to the table and always move from a place of love and respect.

"How that person responds is ultimately up to them. If that causes them to exit my life, I just let it happen."

The post adds: "I will never be in the business of changing people."

Laura and Gary's relationship hasn’t been straightforward since their shock split, with Laura admitting that the breakup was difficult to deal with.

Speaking to OK!, she said: "Breaking up with the father of my child [Gary] was not planned."

"So that was something difficult to deal with, and it was unpredicted, but in a weird way, you just have to think that life doesn't always go to plan.”

The Love Island star recently uploaded a post to social media that seemed to make reference to love and respect, and people leaving her life.

The message read: "I just bring my best self to the table and always move from a place of love and respect.

"How that person responds is ultimately up to them.

"If that causes them to exit my life, I just let it happen. I will never be in the business of changing people."

Despite the cryptic post, Laura recently revealed she wants to try and keep things ‘civil’ with Gary, and that he has been invited to the birth of their child.

She told the Mirror : “Gary is welcome at the birth. He’s currently in two minds so I’ve asked my mum as well, as you are allowed two birthing partners.”

“We have had times of it being civil and then it’s not. There are a lot of emotions going around for everyone, so it’s difficult. Being able to be civil from now until the birth and then after is the goal.

“For me, a lot has come to light since we parted ways, which has been quite upsetting, so I feel I had to do what was right for me and the baby and that’s it really.”
