Love Island’s Laura Anderson breaks silence on fallout with ex Gary Lucy after he revealed baby gender

Pregnant Laura Anderson has broken her silence about her ongoing fallout with ex Gary Lucy after he revealed the gender of their child without her consent.

The Love Island star and Lucy fell for one another when they starred on E4’s Celebs Got Dating and after enjoyed a whirlwind romance even spending Christmas together.

Sadly, they broke up earlier this year but surprised fans when they announced that they were expecting a baby.

While they appeared to be on amicable terms, Anderson was left dismayed when her 41-year-old ex announced that they are expecting a baby girl.

It is believed that the reality TV star had wanted to keep the gender private until later this year.

Now opening up about the fallout for the first time, Anderson admitted that it has been a “bit of a rollercoaster so far”.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, she shared: “Going through a public break-up while pregnant and reading mistruths in the media has been a challenge.

“I just want to be positive and move forward, and I’m really excited about her coming along. I think if I can get through this, I can get through anything.”

Anderson also addressed the Hollyoaks star’s claims that they split because he wouldn’t move to Scotland, where she’s currently living, as he wanted to be near his four children with ex-wife Natasha Gray.

The TV personality insisted that his comments were “not true” and added that their break-up was “hard to explain”.

Anderson also revealed that she initially wanted to reconcile with Lucy but alluded to being unable to due to “things [she] found out since then” and “the fact that nothing has been discussed or resolved”.

She added: “I think for now I’m trying to just be positive and think about the baby and be strong, because everything became too chaotic.”

Aside from relationship woes, the ITV2 star teased that she has chosen a “traditional” name for her daughter, rather than going down the recent increase in Disney-inspired celeb monikers.
