Love Island’s Lana Jenkins bookies favourite to win ITV2 show

Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins are tipped to leave the Love Island villa as winners, with just days to go until the final.

Research looked into all ten series of the British show, to figure out what the recipe for success is. According to the analysis, hair colour, occupation and the week entering the villa can all have a huge impact on the outcome.

It also looked at several variables, such as average age and profession of previous winners, as well as the number of partners and Casa Amor betrayals, says the Daily Record.

With all the variables having been studied, 25-year-old Lana has been tipped as the most likely to win. That's thanks to her age, entering the villa during the first week, and her job as a makeup artist.

According to the stats from Paddy Power Games, this makes her the perfect winner on paper. And it seems to be proving right, with Lana still sitting safe during the last tumultuous week of the show.

However, with only four out of twenty previous winners being blonde, brunettes stand the best chance of winning the competition. Therefore, Lana should make sure she stays coupled up with Ron until the very end, as he’s not only brunette, but fits the predicted winner profile of having an office job and staying loyal to his partner during Casa Amor.

A Paddy Power Games spokesman said: “Looking back at previous seasons, Lana Jenkins matches the winners almost perfectly, and whilst her blonde hair does put her at a slight disadvantage, historically speaking, that’s nothing a bit of hair dye can’t fix. With Ron at her side, the two are almost the perfect winners, which is why we’re putting all our eggs in their basket”.

Wednesday night on Love Island, the infamous baby challenge returned as five brand new arrivals made their way into the villa to wreak havoc for the islanders. The contestants woke up to the sound of five babies crying in the villa, and made their way down to meet their bundles of joy.
