Love Island's Kodie Murphy leaves 'girlfriend' furious over 'work trip' lie as he enters Casa Amor

Kodie Murphy has been accused of lying to his 'girlfriend' about going on Love Island, with her taking to social media to claim she was left in shock at seeing him on screen, after he lied to her about being on 'a work trip.'

On Friday night, Birmingham based social media manager Kodie was unveiled as one of the six Casa Amor boys, going into the show's infamous second villa to join the girls from the main villa, after they were whisked there with some help from music icon Ne-Yo, after he'd performed a set for all the Islanders.

Viewers got a first look at Kodie on Sunday night's Love Island, during which the new lads tried to get to know the girls, with Kodie delighting Jess by revealing that he was really into blondes. However one person definitely not happy to see him on the TV was his apparent girlfriend, who, until seeing him heading into Casa Amor, was very much convinced they were still in a relationship.

Posting on TikTok and Instagram, she wrote: "As some of you may know, @kodiemurphy and I have been exclusive for some time now and I’ve come to find out this “work trip” he told me he was going on was actually Casa Amor. Couldn’t feel more hurt and disrespected.” She ended the post: "Kosie, you had plenty of time to tell me, however I hope you find what you're looking for. I wish you luck."

Viewers had a lot to say about Kodie when they saw him on screen on Sunday, with one tweeting: "how embarrassing would it be for kodie to leave his girlfriend for casa amor and not even make it to the main villa" and a second reacting: "Kodie sitting there knowing his girlfriend is at home is so wild!!!!!"
