Fans of Love Island have argued that Kain Reed has been 'snubbed' by Love Island producers, having suffered from a serious lack of airtime on the show and him looking likely to be sent packing after just a few days in Casa Amor.
Energy consultant and keen footballer Kain looked set to make an impact as one of the bombshells for Casa Amor and certainly talked a good talk,. warning the boys in the main villa that he wasn't afraid to 'step on any toes' and saying he was confident he'd turn some heads. However, after high hopes that Kain would prove to be an explosive new arrival, the reality has turned out to be very different.
Prior to going into the villa, Kain admitted that Lana was really his type and given, that she was embroiled in a roller-coaster relationship with Ron,. prior to Casa Amor opening its doors again, Love Island fans were tipping Kain to be the guy that would finally make her realise that Ron wasn't for her, after he left her in limbo on numerous occasions over the status of their relationship in the days and weeks leading up to the girls going into Casa.
Viewers saw Kain pull Lana for a chat on his first night in Casa Amor, before sharing a kiss with her in a challenge. However, that now appears to have been the extent of their flirtation as, since then, Kain has barely been seen with Lana or anyone else.
After he flew under the radar on Tuesday night's show, Love Island fans and Kain's friends and family were hoping they'd see him in action on Wednesday but that wasn't the case.
And, as credits rolled on the latest episode just as recoupling decisions needed to be made, Kain became the subject of a whole load of comments ion social media as people were left wondering where he was.
Talking about Kain's lack of timer on scree on Facebook, one fan commented: "It was the same with the Geordie lass last year think we seen a whole 2 mins of her and that was just for the re-coupling," with a second reacting: "They could least show them at times like even if there having conversations with the rest of the group just like all the rest in the villa have been shown."
Responding to the same post, a third Love Island viewer wrote: "Thought the Geordie would have done better to be honest"
