Love Island has teased more drama tonight on the ITV2 dating show, with trouble in paradise for Paige Thorne and Jacques O'Neill.
The couple are set for theatrics as new love interest Jay is pulled by Paige following Jacques confession he had “never cared” for a girl before on Sunday night.
Paramedic Paige, 24 and rugby player, Jacques, 23, have been forming a bond in the last few weeks, but were rocked after Jay Younger decided to couple up with Paige.
Jacques was seen clearly struggling with Jay’s decision and pulled Paige for a late night chat on the stairs while the rest of the Islanders were asleep.
The hunk, who is Gemma Owen ’s ex, told Paige: “I didn't want to tell you that I cared. Because why would I? I've never cared in my life, why do I want to tell people I care now.”
Reassuring him, Paige said: “Honestly, Jacques, you have nothing to worry about.”
The pair then shared a hug and went back to their separate beds.
Following Jacques’ confession last night, Paige pulls Jay for a chat to see where his head’s at in Monday night’s episode.
Paige says: “I totally understand it can feel awkward and stuff when you see me be with Jacques. I just don’t like being that person in the middle, do you know what I mean?”
But Jay turned the tables on Paige, telling her she was confusing him.
Jay admits: “I won’t lie, this morning when I woke up I was feeling a bit of mixed signals.
“If you say you’re open to getting to know me, cool, but obviously last night I saw you and Jacques had a moment together and I thought maybe it’s just a bit too late for me...”
Fans will find out tonight if it is too late for Jay or if Paige is still keen to get to know both boys.
Later in the episode, while seated on the outdoor sofa area, Antigoni receives a text which reads: “Islanders, it’s time to get dressed up as tonight you’ll be having a Blue Party. #goodtimesgoodvibes #glamup.”
Later that night at the Blue Party, Paige pulls Jay for a chat, saying: “You said you’d rather me be direct so…” but fans will have to wait and see what Paige admits to him.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
