Love Island contestant Jay Younger reportedly promised a 'serious future' to a woman he later dumped to appear on the show.
Jay, a 28-year-old Investment Analyst from Edinburgh, walked into the villa earlier this week and got straight to getting to know the women.
However, a lot of heartbreak happened behind the scenes in order for Jay to appear on our screens as a single man.
A woman he was dating, named Ems, claimed he promised to buy them a house with the prize money he got.
"He sold me a dream and I was left devastated," she told The Sun.
"Then a few days later on the phone he told me, ‘When I’m on Love Island, I’ll rub my ear when I’m thinking of you, like a secret symbol’.
"He said, ‘I want you to be my girlfriend, I see a future with you, I see marriage and children’."
Another ex-girlfriend, named Mal, also slammed the contestant and said that he dumped her days before she was meant to spend Christmas with his family.
She claimed the way he ended the relationship showed how 'selfish' he is.
Mirror have contacted Love Island for comment on the contestant.
Jay's brother has denied all of the claims and said: "It is very hurtful to see others mischaracterise Jay and label him with defamatory, unkind remarks that he has no ability to respond to right now.
"Everything here is completely inaccurate. We're looking forward to Jay showing viewers the kind, funny and intelligent guy his friends and family know and love."
Jay has only been in the villa for short time, but it looks like he is already clashing with other contestants.
On Wednesday's episode of the ITV2 show, Jacques O'Neill clashed with new boy Jay.
Gemma Owen's ex wasn't exactly welcoming of the newcomer and appeared to taunt him during a chat with the group.
Asking what he did for a job, he was quick to inform the bombshell that he was a rugby player as if he thought it would intimidate him.

Jacques asked him: "What do you do big boy?" to which Jay responded, looking awkward: "I work in finance as an investment analyst."
Seemingly threatened by the latest arrival, Jacques then told him: "Do you? I play rugby lad."
Jay soon made a jibe at the Islander, making it clear he wasn't worried about stepping on anyone's toes.
He quipped: "You're a bit small for a rugby player, no?" to which Jacques responds: "Oh really? hey, if you properly run at me I'll flatten you lad, so..."
