Love Island star Jake Cornish has revealed that he has a brand new job that is worlds away from reality TV. The 25-year-old, who sensationally quit the ITV show with Liberty Poole in 2021, is the new creative director of a rattan furniture company.
Earlier this year, the former Islander, who is from Weston-super-Mare, shared a picture to his Instagram, where he was sat on a plush sofa in the middle of a vast warehouse. In the post, he told his followers that he now wished to be known as "Jakey The Rattan Man". Prior to appearing on the ITV2 dating show, he worked as a water engineer.

Jake explained that he'd been working on the enterprise and putting together deals, writing: "PINCH ME MOMENT... So then, for months I’ve been working really hard on a business which I absolutely am over whelmed I’ve managed to achieve with hundreds of stock to keep you guys going. Long hard days, stress, few bumps in the road but finally we are here and ready to kit out your homes for you. Loads and loads of deals I’ve laid on for you guys for this weekend ONLY. Any product your unsure of or sizing ect please message @therattanman."
The reality TV star's time in the villa proved to be controversial and three days before the Love Island final seemingly perfect couple Jake and Liberty quit the show and separated in the process. In an interview with The Sun, Jake revealed that the last time he spoke to his ex was to wish her luck for her appearance on Dancing on Ice.
The latest series of Love Island finished in August but fans don't have to wait much longer for the next. The popular show will return for a winter series (albeit without Laura Whitmore) in January 2023.
