Love Island's Jacques O'Neill tells ITV GMB of death threats after leaving the villa

Love Island 's Jacques O'Neill admits he was getting death threats after leaving the villa. The hunk was invited on to Good Morning Britain to speak about ADHD, something which he suffers from.

The Castleford Tigers rugby player walked from the hit ITV2 show and later released a statement of regret about the way he spoke to Paige Thorne, who he had coupled up with.

Jacques told GMB presenters Ben Shepard and Kate Garraway that he was "scared of life" and what was to come next from him following his time in Majorca.

He added: "All I wanted to do with be with my mum and just go into hiding. I was getting so much hate, like me and my mum were getting death threats and everything. I was like mum, we just need to stay in. We need to stay in doors and I am going to delete social media.

"But then I started getting loads of people messaging me calling me an inspiration with my ADHA side and a bit of a role model. I was like wait, if they are thinking this about me I can't just turn my back on them. People with ADHA. I need to standup and actually do something.

"I was getting fully grown men message me saying love you, you're an inspiration. I was overwhelmed by it all."
