Love Island’s Jacques O’Neill knew Cheyanne Kerr before Casa Amor

Love Island star Jacques O’Neill has revealed he knew a second Islander along with his ex Gemma Owen before the villa.

The 23-year-old, who quit the ITV dating series last week, has admitted he had already met Casa Amor bombshell Cheyanne Kerr and he even wanted to date her at one point.

Jacques and Cheyanne got close while his partner in the villa Paige Thorne, 24, was away during Casa Amor.

They enjoyed a flirtation with each other before he eventually decided to stick with Paige but their romance was spoiled when Jacques’ antics were exposed by Cheyanne at the villa reunion.

Jacques has now revealed he knew Cheyanne from when he was 19.

He told The Sun on Sunday: “Cheyanne is a lovely girl, I already knew her from when I was 19, it was weird because I wanted to date her at the time.”

Jacques realised he and Cheyanne work better as friends following his time with her in Casa Amor.

He continued: “I found out while I was chatting to her that nothing was going to come close to what I had with Paige. But from the moment I kissed her in bed I felt the worst I’ve ever felt in my life.”

It seemed too much damage was done by the time Jacques came to this realisation in the villa as Paige was left brokenhearted over his actions.

He quit the show soon after bombshell Adam Collard made an explosive comeback to the show.

Paige has since moved on with Adam, 26, who she recoupled with, and the pair shared a kiss on Sunday night’s episode.

Following his time on Love Island, Jacques has said he is “disgusted” with his behaviour on the show and won’t be watching as he waits to reunite with Paige.

He told host Laura Whitmore: “We had a good connection and were really getting on. I did see things on the outside working between us but as I say, she’s doing what she needs to do.”

Later on Aftersun, emotional Jacques said of his exit: “I needed to see the boys, my mum. It got way too much for me in there. I was in a situation I didn’t want to be in there anymore.”
