Love Island's Indiyah Polack cashes in with history-making PrettyLittleThing deal

Love Island star Indiyah Polack has signed a six-figure deal with PrettyLittleThing to become the first-ever ambassador for its new Marketplace.

The reality star, who came third on the ITV2 series with Dami Hope, took to Instagram to share the exciting news with fans after PLT received backlash for 'using her for engagement'.

"*internally screaming* I can finally tell you what we’ve been working on for so long!!" she captioned a photoshoot of her posing in Marketplace clothing.

"I am the FIRST EVER ambassador for @prettylittlething Marketplace!! This is a dream come true and I can’t wait to bring you all on the journey with me!

She has become the third Love Island star to sign an impressive deal with the fast fashion company.

Gemma Owen was recently announced as an ambassador of the brand, while Molly-Mae Hague was given the role of creative director.

Indiyah explained: "As soon as I knew PLT wanted me to support this initiative and be the ambassador for the marketplace, where the focus is on re-wearing and re-selling which is something that's important to me, I knew I wasn't going to turn the opportunity down.

"I've taken my time coming out of the villa, ensuring I have the best management team on board to help me with my career, but I'm so excited we can finally announce this partnership and share it with everyone."

It was announced earlier this month that Gemma signed a six-figure deal with the company, after PLT used social media to ask fans who they would prefer to have as an ambassador.

Fans questioned why they posted a poll about which contestant would be the perfect 'PLT doll'.

The votes were between 19-year-old Gemma and 23-year-old Indiyah. The latter star received significantly more votes than Gemma.

One user took to Twitter to share screenshots of the poll, in which Indiyah received over 10,000 likes and Gemma received just over 400.

"This is so nasty I’m sorry they fully used indiyah for some engagement," the user pointed out. [sic]

Another added: "The public spoke and the math ain’t mathing @OfficialPLT but go off." [sic]

"Didn’t Indiyah wear one of y’all’s shirts and it sold out immediately after. Dumb business move," one told the brand.
