Love Island's India Reynolds felt 'like a granny' on the show as she calls for diversity

India Reynolds has revealed she felt 'like a granny' when she joined the 2019 cast of Love Island aged 28.

In an exclusive chat with MirrorOnline, the reality star, now 31, reflected on her time in the show and called on bosses to bring more diversity to the new series after being branded the "curviest" islander when she was a size 10.

Looking incredible in an array of sexy lingerie from her latest Pour Moi collection, India talked her journey to body confidence, how her weight has fluctuated up and down over the past three years and why she thinks OnlyFans is misinterpreted for being an X-rated site.

Recalling her time on the show, India said: "I was like a granny when I was on Love Island. I was 28 and all the people were like 18. I felt so old."

The reality star called for the cast of the 2022 series to be more diverse.

"I remember coming out of Love Island and I was probably one of the biggest sizes I've ever been. I still wasn't big but everyone was being like "oh, how did it feel to be the curviest islander?", she said.

"I thought 'are you joking?' This is so bad for young girls if you're saying I'm curvy. What are you putting in their brains?"

"I want it to be more diverse, put in people of all shapes and sizes. I would like to see different sexualities. Obviously you don't want an 18-year-old being set-up with someone in their thirties but I would like to see different ages, within a bracket," she said.

The television personality, who became a glamour model aged 18, also talked about how she learnt to embrace her figure after previously tearing herself apart of commercial shoots where she would be up against "taller, skinnier girls".

"I found it really, really difficult", India said. "I'd have agents saying to me 'are you going to maintain this weight?'

"My weight fluctuates quite a lot depending on whether I'm having a stressful time or if I'm really happy, or been going out a lot.

The agents were like "Oh, you're going to have maintain this size now and are you able to do that?" I just felt under so much pressure. I'd go to shoots and the girls in the studio would be taller and skinnier- just a completely different body shape.

"It took such a long time for me to be like "actually, you know what, they saw me last week and booked me because they liked how I looked".

India went on to say she grew in confidence with her age and has "probably been four dress sizes while working with Pour Moi".

She added: "They're really accepting which is great."

"We've gone a bit more bold for this range. We did some bright colours last summer. Everyone is coming out of lockdown and want to be super fun, this really ties in well with it," she said.

"We've got a lot of worn-to-be-seen lingerie, we've got really nice, bright, supportive underwear."

Elsewhere in the interview, India, who is on OnlyFans, said she hopes to "remove the stigma" of it being a racy site.

She said: "OnlyFans is definitely misinterpreted. There is that side to it, of course. There are people on there who are doing naked pictures or whatever else they're up to. It wasn't created as a sexual platform in any way.

"It was created as a content sharing platform and a subscription platform. The CEO is now a woman and they're really committed to removing the stigma and encouraging people to go on there and share different things and earn a bit of money from people who want to learn about you."
