After being the bookies favourite to win the 2022 series of Love Island, contestant Gemma Owen 's odds have taken a turn after just one episode.
The daughter of former England football star Michael Owen 's daughter pinned as a potential finalist in the run up to the launch.
Dressage rider and swimwear company owner Gemma was the joint bookies' favourite to win the series with William Hill giving odds of 11/4 last week.
But now that viewers were introduced to the young contestant, opinions of her quickly changed.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes explained: "Punters may have scored an own goal in backing Gemma Owen for success in the villa.
“Having headed the betting before Monday's series opener, she's tumbled to third-favourite, behind the popular Paige and Tasha."
The young star now stands at 4/1 from odds as short as 9/4.
After getting to know Gemma on the show last night, some viewers took to Twitter to complain about her 'attitude'.
The public chose for her to be coupled up with Welsh student Liam Llewellyn but she was less than impressed with the decision.
She made her dislike known and, as all of the Islanders played 'truth or dare', Gemma refused to kiss Liam - leading Paige to give him an awkward lap dance so that he didn't feel left out.
Earlier, she also mocked Luca's surname - and fans were not impressed.
Among those criticising Gemma was former Islander Marcel Somerville, who tweeted: "Yo can’t lie Gemma’s energy is mad! How she coming across like this on the first day! The rudeness #loveisland."

While Chloe Burrows wrote: "Gemma ur attitude STINKS mate #loveisland."
Another viewer commented: "Nah Gemma is a bit bad vibes lol #loveisland."
"the entitlement coming from gemma is so jarring i don’t like her already #loveisland," one tweeted.
Ahead of entering the villa, the international dressage rider confessed that her England star dad wasn't too pleased about her taking part.
He even left the country for Germany before her first episode aired on ITV2 on Monday, and instead posed in front of the Olympiastadion in Munich.
Referencing the 2001 game, he said: "Back at the scene of the crime 21 years later! Germany 1 - 5 England," he captioned the image.
He told ITV News: "I have no doubts that she will make us all proud. It’s probably a father’s worst nightmare, but whatever she wants to do you’ve got to be supportive. I’ve heard a lot about it."
