Love Island's Gemma Owen moves on from Luca Bish reunion spat with defiant relationship post

Gemma Owen has brushed off reports off a rumoured Love Island reunion spat between her and Luca Bish with a defiant post about their relationship on her Instagram.

The 19-year-old daughter of football icon Michael Owen made it all the way to the final of the latest series of the hit ITV dating show, with her and Brighton fishmonger finishing second to Ekin-Su and Davide.

After having no access to her phone for the full two months she was in the Love Island villa, Gemma made her return to Instagram on Thursday but, rather than post a picture of her and Luca, she uploaded a solo shot and didn’t even mention him in the accompanying caption.

That move alone was enough to prompt speculation from over the status of their relationship and then came an admission from Luca that they’d had a bit of a row when filming took place for the Love Island reunion on Thursday.

As they were met by waiting photographers, one snapper quipped: "You've got your hands full there!" to Luca, replied: "Oh don't mate! She's got the right hump with me!”

Those reports did little to quash doubts over their relationship but Gemma effectively put those rumours to bed when she posted a photo of her and Luca on her Insta grid on Friday.

Next to it, she wrote: “Reunion night with this one, It was so good to see everyone again! Don’t forget to watch it on @loveisland aftersun Sunday night @itv2."

Love Island co-star Antigoni Buxton was swift to react with love heart emojis, while a fan replied: "U both look so cute together and I hope u last forever."

Another told Gemma: "So happy for you both!"
