Love Island's Gemma Owen makes marriage admission as viewers issue demand

Love island viewers issued a demand as Gemma Owen made a marriage admission on tonight's show.

Michael Owen's daughter is currently coupled up with Luca Bish on the latest season of the popular dating programme. Tuesday's edition saw the boys complete the "Snog, Marry, Pie" challenge.

Luca selected to marry Gemma as part of the challenge as he admitted: "I do want to spend the rest of my life with her." Gemma accepted the ring, but confessed she was looking for something a bit more luxurious.

She said in the beach hut: "I want a big diamond ring next time, thanks." Luca's decisions in the Snog, Marry Pie challenge came under fire after fans criticised his treatment of Tasha Ghouri.

The fishmonger angered Andrew le Page and Paige Thorne, who said his comments towards Tasha went "too far". Luca admitted his behaviour was out of order as he later apologised to Tasha.

However, viewers following the show on Twitter were unimpressed by his behaviour and urged Gemma to call her partner out for his actions.

Fi said: "As 19 year olds go, Gemma seems mature. I hope this ‘I will marry Luca’ stuff is just a stunt for the show"

Gemma I am BEGGING you to see sense and dump Luca he’s the biggest red flag."

Lauren posted: "How has Gemma not gotten the ick ye"

Caitlin commented : "The way Luca and Dami are treating Tasha is actually disgusting and uncomfortable to watch. They both are such an ick and I hope Gemma and Indiyah can see that soon too"
