Love Island's Gemma Owen 'guilty' as she kisses 'Italian Stallion' on first episode

Gemma Owen admitted she felt "guilty" after she kissed a contestant on the first episode of Love Island.

Michael Owen's daughter is a contestant on season eight of the popular dating programme. The 19-year-old was paired with Liam Llelwyn as the public voted for the first couples.

However, she had her head turned when Davide Sanclimenti, 27, entered the Majorcan villa during tonight's episode. Gemma confessed Davide was her type and she was blown away by the Islander, who was was branded the Italian Stallion.

Gemma was mortified when she was asked to kiss the islander she wanted to share a bed with in the first challenge of tonight's season. The Team GB dressage competitor kissed Davide, but confessed she felt guilty as she spoke to camera in the Beach Hut.

She said: "Oh my god that was absolutely brutal. I did feel a bit guilty." Viewers following the show on Twitter took to the social media platform and said the 19-year-old shouldn't have been allowed on this season of the dating show.

Shania posted: "Please stop allowing 19 year olds on dating shows I beg"

Adrian commented : "She's only just turned 19! Nah she shouldn't be in the villa with lads 10 years older than her!!"

Vic tweeted: "I feel like getting someone whose not long 19 years old like Gemma is is just such an odd move. She’s too young for this"
