Love Island's Gemma Owen finally drops the 'dad bomb' as she reveal Michael Owen is her father

Love Island fans were left shocked after Gemma Owen casually addressed who her famous dad is and dropped another bombshell.

Last night Gemma finally admitted that her father is former England footballer Michael and revealed that she went to nursery with David Beckhams sons.

Fellow islander and Greek singer Antigoni Buxton asked the 19-year-old dressage rider about her famous family.

She said: ‘‘Sorry, excuse me if I’m being ignorant but is your dad very, very well known? He played for England, right?”

Gemma replied with a breezy “yeah” before dropping that she went to school with Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham leaving Antigoni, Ekin-Su and Danica shocked.

Twitter users were delighted with the revelation as they believed she had been itching to drop the news for weeks.

“Finally the Michael Owen chat,” tweeted one.

Other users claimed that Luca Bish was only interested in Gemma to get to her dad.

“Luca wants to be Luca Owen with his entire life. He’s fighting like it’s marriage. He wants to be Michael Owen’s son in law so bad,” tweeted one individual.

Last night viewers saw her and her other half on the island Luca Bish head off to the hideaway for some private time.

Luca was clearly thrilled when he heard they were picked.

He shouted: “Finally! I feel like it has been a long time coming. So nice it’s just gonna be us two. I’m just buzzing.”

In the love nest when Gemma took off her silk dressing gown she warned him not to get his hopes up.

She told him bluntly: ‘‘Don’t get any ideas. I’m just hot.’’

Things seem to be going well for the pair as they discussed the possibility of falling in love.

Gemma said: ‘‘I don’t see why not judging from what I have seen so far.’’

And Luca added: ‘‘I’m just glad we’ve got something very special going on.”
