Love Island’s Gemma Owen has a frank discussion with Luca Bish on tonight’s episode of the hit ITV2 dating show, as their romance hits the rocks.
The 19-year-old opens up to the Brighton fishmonger about her feelings after asking for a private chat, Love Island spoilers have revealed.
Gemma says: “You’ve probably noticed I am being a little bit off the last day.
“What initially attracted me to you is that you didn’t give a sh*t but I’ve seen a different side to you, which I do like but I don’t want to feel that’s us two married off now and that’s it.”
Luca answers back: “Why are we married off?” later adding: “Listen we both like each other and we will see how it goes.”
Gemma appears to be getting cold feet after she was the only Islander not chosen to go on a date with the two new bombshells.
Jay Younger and Remi Lambert went on three dates each on Wednesday’s episode, but neither picked Gemma, leaving her convinced Luca could have been “in their ear” not to pick her.
While a bemused Gemma looked on from the terrace at the dates, Luca was left feeling very smug.
But tonight’s conversation between the couple could be a sign Gemma is having cold feet, just as Love Island fans have been left convinced she is going to reconcile with her ex Jacques O’Neill.
Fans are theorising the amicable exes could actually still be dating in secret, amid her pairing up with Luca.
Gemma made quite the blunder following his arrival, and in scenes on Tuesday night she left Luca furious.
She accidentally called Luca 'Jacques', and it was picked up by several of her co-stars including Luca, and Paige Thorne who is currently paired up with Jacques.
Viewers tuning in questioned whether this was a sign that she wasn't over her ex, or perhaps they were secretly still dating outside of the show.
While the pair have had a chat or two in recent scenes, Gemma has insisted that while she still fancies him, she doesn't plan to go back there.
But viewers have suspected that the pair are interested in getting to know each other again, with some even believing the reason they are so chilled out about their reunion is because they might even be together.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "I'm predicting that Gemma and her ex are secretly still together."
Another said: "What if Gemma & Jacques are secretly together outside the show & thats why she didn’t seem that bothered about him coming in & she’s gave nothing to any of the lads/ seems boring?"
A third fan commented in response to another tweet: "Ooo, I think you might be right. I thought she was just socially awkward or shy, but calling Luca by her ex’s name is fishy."
