Love Island's first bombshell set to cause a stir as Gemma Owens is 'blown away'

Love Island is set to kick off the drama straight away as it returns to screens tonight.

The ITV2 dating show will welcome a new batch of sexy singletons at the new villa to embark on the ultimate summer of love. But just as the islanders begin to cosy up on the first night, the show is set to throw a spanner in the works.

It will deliver the first bombshell of the eighth series - in the form of "Italian Stallion" Davide Sanclimenti. Hailing from Rome but living in Manchester, Davide hopes to use his country’s charm to hope win over the ladies in the villa.

Before heading into the show, the business owner said: "I’m good looking and I’ve realised since I first arrived in Manchester, a lot of English girls actually love me. They love to be around me and I love to be around them. It’s going to be fun, I’m looking forward to it."

In a sneak peek of tonight's episode, ITV revealed that new boy Davide makes his entrance as the Islanders are just getting to know each other. Speaking in the Beach Hut about Davide’s arrival, Indiyah said: “When I saw him, I was very confused because I had no warning but he is very good looking!”

Gemma Owen, daughter of Michael Owen, added: "I was blown away." The model also revealed what it is she looks for in a man.

She said: "I’m looking for a guy that is really family orientated - that is so important. Good morals."

One-by-one it will be revealed who the public have chosen to couple up - But not all Islanders will be happy with the decisions. Host Laura Whitmore will announce the show's changes to the contestants tonight.

In the sneak peek she said: "Well girls, it’s time to couple up. There is something I haven’t told you yet - things are a little different this year.

"You thought you’d all be stepping forward for the boys you fancy the most. However, this is Love Island and you never know what to expect. For the first time ever, we asked the public to play cupid and pick the boy they thought you should couple up with."

Love Island starts tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. E pisodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
