Love Island’s Farmer Will sets record straight on 'fake accent' rumours

Farmer Will from Love Island has addressed the 'fake accent' rumours from his time in the villa.

Will Young appeared on The Useless Hotline podcast with Jessie Wynter after the pair narrowly missed out on the Love Island finale this season, departing the villa just two days before Sanam and Kai were crowned the winners. On the podcast, he was asked about rumours that he was faking his accent when viewers noticed his voice seemed to change.

Will was quick to laugh it off, and said he was surprised himself when his accent seemingly changed sometimes on the show. He became a fan favourite due to his sense of humour during his time in the villa.

On the podcast, host Max said: "I meant to ask you, there was multiple times where like your entire like accent and everything just changed."

In response, Will laughed and said: "I turned into Ali G at one point: 'these man are snakes'." Max went on to do an impression of Will, including his accent changing mid-sentence, as it did on the show, and called him 'Will from the hood'.

People in the comments were loving the exchange. One person said: "The more I'm watching will on different podcasts the more I love with him. Absolute legend." and another said: "One of the most entertaining men to ever be on that show."

Others called for Will to get his own series. One person said: "He needs a show. He's so funny" and another said: "Give this man a show".
