He captioned the post as he explained how it referred to how he "didn't get the grades to get into Liverpool to study medicine" as he had dreamed of.

In full, Alex wrote: "When I didn’t get the grades to get into Liverpool to study medicine, I could’ve thought my dreams of becoming a doctor were long gone. My friends and family picked me up, I brushed off my shoulders and decided I wasn’t going to give up.
"That door closing, only meant another one was opening. I got to spend a year with my family and worked as a teaching assistant at a primary school, I learnt so much about myself in that year. When I re-took my exams, I got into Peninsula University instead, and the rest is history."
He continued: "Although it can be tough not to get exactly what you want in that moment, new opportunities are always around the corner. Never give up on your dreams, you will always find a way."
Fans filled the comments with love. Deirdre said: "Wise words as always Alex xx"
Ati said: "I appreciate you Dr Alex." Kamilka added: "That's right... Always go for your goal and dream."
