Love Island's Davide 'tipped' to steal £50,000 for himself as he and Ekin-Su are dead certs to win

Davide Sanclimenti was tipped by bookies as the most likely out of him and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu to steal all the winners' cash, should they fulfil everyone's expectations and triumph in the Love Island final on Monday, before Laura Whitmore confirmed the famous 'love or money' twist had been axed.

The couple's fierce and fiery relationship has enthralled fans from the get-go, after both went into the villa late during the first week. Since then there's been passion, there's been romance and there have been rows, including Davide's iconic 'liar, actress' rant that quickly wrote itself into Love Island folklore.

With just hours to go until the final, William Hill had Davide and Ekin-Su as 1/10 dead certs to triumph, way ahead of nearest rivals Andrew and Tasha, will Dami and Indiya the outsiders on 20/1. And, as well as offering odds on who was going to win Love Island 2022, the bookmakers also offered odds on if Davide and Ekin-Su would steal the money.

A few weeks ago, after being unimpressed by the way Davide spoke to her, some fans said they hoped Ekin-Su would steal the money, rather than split the £50,000 equally but it's actually Davide deemed most likely to pull off the savage move on odds of 16/1, with Ekin-Su on 20/1.

As they geared up for the Love Island final, some fans said they'd be happy with Davide taking all the cash, with one taking to Twitter to post: "Davide and if they win I want to see him steal the money."

Another predicted that it will be Davide left holding the money, writing: "If Davide and Ekin win and Davide picks the money envelope I’m most positive he will steal the money," while another wrote: "If Ekin/Davide steal the money I wouldn't be surprised and yet I STILL NEED THEM TO WIN."

However, all of that speculation ended up being for nothing as, right at the start of the final, host Laura Whitmore confirmed there'd be no 'love or money' choice for the winners at the end of it.
