Love Island's Davide reveals taxi drama truth as Phillip Schofield makes savage comment

Love Island 's Davide Sanclimenti appeared on This Morning and was grilled by host Phillip Schofield after being pictured in the back of a taxi in London with two blonde females while his girlfriend, Ekin-Su, was away in LA.

Davide and girlfriend Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu won the popular ITV show last month and joined Holly and Phil on the sofa to talk about life after the villa. Davide and Ekin-Su spoke about their relationship for the first few minutes of the interview, then Phillip delivered a savage dig towards Davide after he was spotted leaving a club with two gorgeous Icelandic women last week.

The 27-year-old Italian headed to the KSI boxing match at the O2 Arena before he was seen leaving with the two girls while Ekin-Su, 28, was working on her Oh Polly collaboration in LA, writes The Mirror. Phil didn't beat around the bush when quizzing Davide on what went down in the taxi. But the Love Island winner insisted that both he and Ekin-Su laughed off the headlines and rumours once they got wind of the drama.

"You know what, I laughed it off actually," Davide insisted. While Ekin admitted that at first, she was rather taken aback as friends, family, and fans bombarded her with messages and screenshots of the mysterious snaps. But Ekin's mind was out to rest once she called Davide from LA. Her Italian beau reassured her that there was nothing sinister behind the photos, and that he had simply jumped in the cab with the girls, while his other friends were in a different taxi ahead of them.

Ekin-Su clearly hasn't let the rumours bother her, as she continued to shine on social media while she was away in the States.

Following Phil's savage dig towards Davide, This Morning fans flocked to Twitter to react with one chiming: "Phil took no prisoners there." "Davide was really put on the spot, poor thing hahaha," another tweeted. While a third quipped: "Davide wasn't expecting such a blunt delivery I bet."
