Love Island's Davide has revealed the one thing he would have changed about his relationship with Ekin-Su.
The couple were declared the winners of the ITV 2 dating show last year before they quickly moved in together, but it hasn't been smooth sailing for the reality stars.
Now, the former couple have announced that they have split less than a year after leaving the Majorca villa.
Davide, 28, who captured fans with his 'will he, won't he' arc with the actress, has admitted he wished they had done things differently.
He said: "Me and Ekin-Su had our struggles due to our public positions and we still have them sometimes.
"If there's something that I would change or would have done differently [with Ekin-Su in the villa] maybe I would have taken things a bit more slowly."
However, he also told The Sun he thought the pair were made for each other, gushing: "The best thing about dating Ekin Su is that we understand each other - not just because we are literally the same person."
The couple set the record on their relationship straight in April after fans noticed they hadn't been sharing snaps of each other on social media.
Ekin-Su was said to be "furious and really upset" after finding messages from Davide to two models, according to reports and later raised suspicion when she liked a post, which read: "Distance is my new answer to disrespect."
However, during a Q&A with fans on her Instagram Stories, the actress told fans the Italian hunk was still very much her boyfriend.
Responding to the question: "Are you and Davide still together?", she smiled and laughed as she planted a huge kiss on Davide's cheek.
The couple captured the heart of the nation with their rocky road to romance on Love Island, before going on to win the show, moving in together and then enjoying a plush holiday in the Maldives.
However, despite shooting to fame and bagging a number of lucrative sponsorship deals from the show, Ekin- Su revealed she lost all her friends when she returned home from the Love Island villa.
Fortunately, she says she has 'never been happier' as she enjoys her life with beau Davide.
