Love Island's Dami reveals unaired cause of fiery Luca row in Casa Amor

Love Island star Dami Hope has opened up about the unaired cause of his Casa Amor row with Luca Bish, which saw him brand the Brighton fishmonger “fake”.

The co-stars came to blows in the villa in a searing argument which saw Dami imply Luca was acting tactically to win the ITV2 show by stirring the pot and causing problems for the other boys.

The boys had been joined in the main villa by a group of six new singletons, while the girls headed off to Casa Amor to meet a new batch of bombshells themselves.

During a chat around the firepit, Dami admitted to kissing Summer Botwe on the terrace, leading to Luca suggesting the pair should share a bed.

As Luca tried to get Jacques to agree with him, Dami then warned: “Yeah, stop egging other people on man. What’s wrong with you? Just be real for once.”

The former Islander has now opened up about the row during an appearance on fellow former Love Island star Toby Aromolaran's podcast Fancy A Chat?.

Dami revealed Luca was constantly pushing the boys to misbehave and ditch their original couples during the Casa Amor stint and said the comments grated on him, particularly when he led them to believe he also planned on turning his head away from current partner Gemma Owen ahead of the villa split.

Dami explained: “That didn't just come out of nowhere. It was building up. There were situations before Casa Amor – you know where people just talk the talk, say they're going to do so much stuff.

“Andrew was saying he's going to sleep on the daybed in Casa Amor and then all us boys – especially Luca – were like if one of us does it, we all have to do it.”

He went on to reveal how he felt double crossed when Luca changed his plans to make him and Gemma look like the stronger couple.

He continued: “Now there's a turnaround where Casa has come and he's sleeping in the daybed.”

Dami described another moment when Luca egged five of the six boys to recouple with someone else rather than stay loyal.

He said: “There were loads of little things. The one thing that sparked it was all six of us boys were in the kitchen and Luca was like, 'You know what you guys should do? Five of you should bring a girl back.’

“I was like, this guy should stop talking because I am getting annoyed. If you're going to do what you're doing, do it respectfully.

“Don't try to coach us into doing these things if you're not in it. Those things were building up for me.”

He concluded: “We've squashed it. We’re moved on from it, but that’s where it kicked off.”
