Love Island’s Dami and Indiyah's explosive split as they say 'may the best heartbreaker win'

The most explosive moment of Thursday night’s Love Island came after Dami Hope, 26, and Indiyah Polack, 23, put on a backstabbing display at the re-coupling. Indiyah told Dami: “May the best heartbreaker win” as they both chose to re-couple with new islanders.

Dami said that he still liked Indiyah “a lot” but chose to re-couple with Summer Botwe. His former-flame Indiyah also re-coupled, returning to the villa with Deji Adeniyi. Indiyah told Dami: “May the best heartbreaker win.”

There was no love lost between Dami and Indiyah, who shared an extremely passive-aggressive exchange in front of the other islanders about their split.

When Dami said he was happy, Indiyah quickly replied: "Seems it."

Dami followed up by asking if his ex-partner was happy. "Absolutely," she replied.

With the new girls all stood up, and the main villa boys seated around the firepit, Jay Younger, 28, said he’d had no romantic connection with Danica and made the decision to ‘twist’. He chose to re-couple with Chyna Ellis, 22, who he saw “more romantic potential” with.

Danica Taylor, 21, re-coupled with Josh Samuel Le Grove, 22, who “matches her energy”. Danica added: “Glad you seem very happy, Jay”.

Davide was coupled up with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu before she left for Casa Amor. Davide said he believes he has a “unique connection” with Ekin-Su and decided to stay loyal to her.

Ekin-Su also stuck with Davide and said she was “over the moon” to see Davide waiting for her. She told him: “I missed you so much.”

Luca emotionally declared his feelings for Gemma Owen, who returned to the villa on her own. Luca said: “Every day she was gone I missed her more and more”.

Andrew said he had “mixed emotions” after he heard what the new girls had said Tasha Ghouri, 23, had been saying “behind my back”. He chose to re-couple with Coco Lodge.

Tasha returned to the villa with Billy Brown, 23. She said had to stay “true to herself”. Andrew hit back saying that Tasha “is fake” and “tells more lies than Pinocchio”.

Jacques O’Neill decided to stay loyal to Paige Thorne. Paige said she was “super happy” to be staying with Jacques, who beamed with happiness as she walked back into the villa on her own. However, the situation did not last long as Paige soon found out Jacques had kissed one of the new girls.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
