Love Island's Cynthia bursts into tears as Casey claims fling wasn't 'deep'

Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo was left in floods of tears as Love Island hunk Casey decided to recouple with Claudia as Casa Amor came to an end.

Both Casey and Cynthia appeared to share a spark during the dramatic week which saw relationships being tested to the max.

However, things took an unexpected turn for Cynthia when Casey made the decision to walk away from their connection, claiming he only had eyes for Claudia.

As Maya Jama stood in front of the cast, Cynthia erupted into tears as she recalled straddling Casey leaving her fellow Islanders completely speechless.

When asked if he'd remained loyal during Casa, he commented: "I wanted to come into the Casa experience and explore connections with all the girls and I think I did that.

"Like I said before, I don't think anyone is as special as my woman Claudia."

But the news left everybody stunned, with Maya asking the Casa Amor girls whether anybody had been biting their tongue, to which Cynthia responded: "A little bit," before all hell broke loose.

She added: "I was straddling you on the terrace, straddling, kissing, more than once.

"I know you've been honest and you have said that someone will get hurt, I've got hurt."

Shortly after the scenes, fans flocked to Twitter enraged after it appeared that Claudia and Casey had been laughing at Cynthia following her emotional confession.

One viewer said: "I really did not like the way Cynthia was stood up there crying clearly upset and Casey & Claudia were laughing? Nervous or not that's nasty and uncomfortable for her, so glad the casa girls were there #loveisland."

"The way Casey and Claudia were laughing while Cynthia was upset really rubbed me up the wrong way #LoveIsland," commented another.

Before a third went on to add: "I think Claudia is honestly the nastiest person in the villa, how can you laugh at someone who’s clearly hurt? And all the little comments? So snakey #LoveIsland."

While Casey may have had a connection with Cynthia, he previously explained that he "needed to weigh up" whether his time with Claudia had been as special as his bond with Cynthia.

Elsewhere in the episode, fans believed they figured out Ron's plot to stay in the villa during a chat with Tom Clare.

The latest episode of the series saw a string of dramatic bombshells, including Olivia and Kai eventually splitting, as well as Tanya turning her back on Shaq.
