Coco Lodge has claimed her dad called Love Island bosses over concerns about how her daughter was being portrayed on the ITV2 dating show.
The dumped Islander, 27, said her dad warned bosses "you're going to ruin my daughter's mental health" as he shared concerns over the hate she was getting on social media while appearing on the series.
Coco caused a stir while on the show as she and Andrew Le Page had a connection, but the 27-year-old estate agent was already coupled up with Tasha Ghouri.
After hearing cryptic comments about Tasha, 23, from the Casa Amor bombshells and feeling infuriated by their romance, Andrew decided to move on with Coco and things heated up between the pair with them sharing a moment in the pool and kissing in bed.
Estate agent Andrew then decided to recouple with Coco while Tasha returned to the villa with Billy Brown.
However, Andrew and Tasha soon gravitated towards one another again and decided to take another shot at their romance leaving Coco single, but not before a heartbroken Coco revealed that Andrew had "sucked her t*t" under the covers one steamy night.
Coco, who has revealed she is returning to her day job after the show, was later dumped from the island and has since spoken out about her experience in the villa – recently revealing she had a "breakdown" after her and Andrew's split.
Now, in an interview with Bobby Norris and Stephen Lang on FUBAR Radio on Thursday, Coco has claimed her dad contacted the producers while she was on the show.
She said: "When I was in the villa, apparently my dad called the producers and was like, 'you need to show her full personality because what you're showing is causing so much hate – you're going to ruin my daughter's mental health'."
ITV have been contacted by the Mirror for comment.
The Love Islander was being hit with cruel comments from trolls online about her, including her appearance – with the star recently also claiming some of the boys made a dig about her looks, too.
Meanwhile, Coco has also revealed in the chat she had a tough time in the villa as she struggled to bond with the girls after they returned from Casa Amor.
Speaking about her experience Coco said: "It was actually really hard for me.
"What's not shown on the edit of it is the fact that I was literally hyperventilating, crying loads, like I really, really struggled at first, not even just with Andrew but the girls, like some of them weren't welcoming to begin with."
Coco added: "I just kind of thought we've all been through the same process, you've just been chosen to go in before me.
"So, it was really hard to adjust to when the OGs came back in.
"I really did struggle at first, but towards the end, my experience was just like, honestly, I can't explain like when you're close with everyone in there it was so different."
