Love Island’s Claudia breaks silence on 'hard' villa life after brutal axe with sassy quip

Dumped Love Island star Claudia Fogarty has broken her silence after she left the villa alongside Keenan Brand in the latest elimination.

The 28-year-old – who is the daughter of former motorcycle racer and I’m A Celebrity winner Carl Fogarty – admitted her time in the South African villa had been ‘hard’.

The star was chosen by Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda to be dumped from the Island following a public vote on the ITV2 reality show – after she was left single when her man Casey O'Gorman had his head turned by Rosie Seabrook.

Claudia has now taken to her social media to say she is proud of her Love Island journey and was thrilled to be reunited with her family – after fans spotted her seemingly sarcastic response to being dumped.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Claudia said: “Hi everyone, I just wanted to say a quick thank you to you all for the such amazing support.

“Honestly like the messages, the love I've had, it's just been unreal. I've had the most amazing experience in there.

“It's been hard but it's the best thing I've ever done.”

She continued: “I just wanted to say a massive thank you, it really does mean the world.

“I'm happy to be home, happy to be back with the family - so I'm going to take some time today to just be with them, see my friends and just try and get back to normal a bit.

“I really do feel all the love, I can't thank you enough.”

Claudia’s sister shared the ultimate homecoming gift she got her, with a message for the boys back in the villa.

Claudia's sister Danielle has shared a clever message for the boys as she snapped a picture of a heart-shaped bake, displaying the words: "You can't have your cake + eat it."

Captioning the pic and tagging the bakers, she penned: "Thank you, guys, for the most amazing cake for our girl on such short notice."

Claudia also panned the camera around so fans could see a shiny pink homecoming banner and some gorgeous pink flowers on display.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
