Love Island's Chris Taylor reveals real reason behind split from Harley Brash

Love Island's Chris Taylor has confirmed he's split from Harley Brash just days after the series finale.

In what was one of the fastest break-ups of the show's history - on a par with Samira Mighty and Frankie Foster in August 2018 - when rumours swirled that the pair had gone their separate ways.

And now Chris has claimed they actually limped on for a few more days before taking the decision yesterday to end things.

"A serious post for once guys. I'm sad to say that both Harley and I have parted ways and came to this decision last night, despite rumours from the media last week," he wrote in an Instagram statement.

"Both of us have been very busy with separate opportunities and haven’t had enough quality time for each other.

"We both have the upmost support and respect for one another and the decision was made amicably. I wish her all the best and will always be glad we rode the Love Island adventure together," he went on.

"I will be very proud of everything she has done and everything she'll do. The future is bright crumpet go get em! Chris xx."

Fans were touched by his sweet message, with one commenting: "Classy, as always. Wish you both massive happiness."

Another wrote: "Great together and great apart proud of you both."

And a third quipped: "Plenty more salmons in the sea."

Harley, meanwhile, hasn't made any reference to the split in the days since the news broke.

Chris had previously said he was enjoying his romance with Harley away from the cameras.

He recently told ITV's Good Morning Britain: "We have had a good start. We have got a lot closer since we came out, since there is no-one watching us all the time."

During his time in the show Chris had shown an interest in India Reynolds, who went on to take third place with partner Ovie Soko, while Harley had eyes for Ovie.

The series was won by Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea, who claimed a £50,000 cash prize.

Meanwhile, runners-up Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have fuelled their own split rumours after Molly failed to return a gushing message publicly written by her boxing bae.

The Instagram influencer has jetted off to Los Angeles on a solo trip, leaving Tommy at home in Manchester by himself.

She's staying in a luxurious hotel after being treated to a business class flight, and is yet to respond to Tommy's Instagram message moaning that he misses her already.
