Love Island's Andrew reveals crush on past contestant and encounters with ex-Islanders

Love Island star Andrew Le Page has a huge crush on one of the show's biggest names.

Ahead of his entrance to the villa when the show kicks off next Monday June 6 at 9pm on ITV2, Andrew has been chatting about his favourite former Islanders - and he admits one of them is completely his type on paper.

Andrew has also encountered some of the ex-Islanders in his home city of Dubai, where he now lives. He is originally from Guernsey, but he moved over to Dubai to work as a real estate agent.

With Dubai a hotspot for influencers, he's found himself crossing paths with some famous faces.

Speaking to The Mirror and other press, he said: "There's a lot of them out there, but I've seen them on a night out and things like that or in a bar. But I've never spoken to any of them; they've all got their groups out there anyway.

"There's a lot of them out there. I saw Rebecca, she lives out there now, and Anton - he does some gym out there - and Georgia Steel, I've seen her out there too. I've seen a few of them."

He also confessed he has a big crush on one of the former Islanders - Kady McDermott.

"I have definitely watched most series. I've always said, my type has always been Kady McDermott, so someone who is fiery, small pocket rocket kind of thing. Someone that's going to keep me on toes, so I've always said her," he added of his favourite Islander.

He split from his ex when he made the move to Dubai and whilst they don't speak now, he insists they're on good terms.

Speaking about his past dating life, he added: "I was in a relationship, I moved to Dubai and she stayed in Guernsey but fair play to her, she’s doing her own thing which is really good. It just wasn’t going to work so we decided to go our separate ways."

When it comes to dating, Andrew has all the apps - but he'd rather find love in person.

"I like going on dates but I definitely prefer being in a relationship. Dates are a lot of fun, I just chat rubbish, get to know them, they get to know me and have a bit of fun. I’ve got the apps, the chat is quite fun," he said.

"But I definitely prefer meeting people on a night out - it’s a lot better in my opinion."

*Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 6th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
