Love Island’s Amy Hart has admitted she’s scared about her body changes after pregnancy after revealing she was finally going to be a mum.
The former contestant delighted fans after announcing that she and her partner Sam Rason were expecting a child after freezing her eggs.
She spent £12,000 after facing fertility issues and is now overjoyed at the news she is finally pregnant – but has admitted some concerns.
It was live on Loose Women that Amy chose to reveal her pregnancy, sending fans into a frenzy as she announced her big news.
The 30-year-old was all smiles but now says she is beginning to feel scared about the future.
Speaking to OK! magazine about her body changing, she said: “I’m more scared about afterwards. Friends have said it takes a year for your bones to go back and they couldn’t run for a year because they’d had a prolapse, so I’m slightly worried about that.”
Amy’s baby is due between February 28 and March 9 and once she gives birth, she has around 18 months until she ties the knot with beau Sam.
“I’ve got 18 months before the wedding to get really thin again,” she added. “I’m going to try to do Love Island-thin but I don’t know if I can.
“I do worry about postnatal depression too, as I have suffered from anxiety before.
“But I’ve had therapy and I’ve got really good coping mechanisms, and I can recognise where I need help. So as much as I’m wary of it, I know that I would notice the signs, hopefully.”
At the age of 28, Amy decided to freeze her eggs after a fertility MOT showed that her reserves were low for her age which could leave her at risk of early menopause.
The former air stewardess shared a further health update just last month after having a biopsy.
She revealed that she had been diagnosed with a positive HPV result back in May and told how she would need further tests.
Despite the setbacks, Amy conceived naturally and now says that “everything happens for a reason”.
“If I don’t use the eggs in the future, I will donate them,” she told OK!, admitting that she didn’t believe her original pregnancy tests.
Amy’s period was late and the test revealed she was pregnancy straight away – so she and Sam thought she had a broken or “dud” test.
The couple did three more tests over the course of four days “just to be sure”.
Amy says she “already knew” beau Sam was going to be a good dad and that he “really will be the best” - according to the reality TV star, he keeps looking at the scan pictures and smiling.
They say they’re using a baby name app “like Tinder” which pulls together a list of potential matches based on your criteria.
Amy says the pair have three girl names but no boy names yet. She says she loves the name Bluebell, but Sam keeps “finding ways they will get bullied at school”.
Amy thinks they conceived in Venice, on a trip where they met up with Denise Welch – who now says she should call her child Denise.
