Love Island's Amy Hart lands first TV role on Loose Women a week after leaving villa

Love Island's Amy Hart will join Loose Women as a guest panellist after making a good impression during her debut on the show.

The air hostess left the ITV2 dating show after Curtis Pritchard dumped her following doubts about their relationship.

After some back and forth, and further attempts to salvage their romance, Amy made the difficult decision to leave the villa during the show aired on July 9, leaving fans in tears during her departure speech.

But now the former Islander has something to look forward to as she prepares to join the popular daytime show next Wednesday.

She told The Sun: “I’m so excited, I’ve been a fan of Loose Women since I was 12.

"It’s my birthday tomorrow [Wednesday] so this is the best present ever. I can’t wait to see the ladies next Wednesday."

Amy first appeared on Loose Women earlier this week alongside Andrea McLean, Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Brenda Edwards and seemingly made a great impression with the show runners.

Speaking on the show on Monday, she confessed that there was previous tension between her and Maura Higgins, who began cracking on with Curtis while she was still in the Majorcan compound.

But Amy insists that it has nothing to do with her 23-year-old ex.

She told the ITV show: "Initially I didn’t warm to Maura because of her treatment to Molly and her treatment of Elma.

"However because she’s kind, caring and funny and we’ve both travelled a lot, so we bonded over that.

Amy decides to leave the villa in an emotional goodbye

"You live in the same house as people – we did form a friendship."

She added: "So, then for her to once again move the goal posts to suit her situation to decide we were never friends in the first place because she wanted to get with Curtis, obviously it’s not the most ideal thing.

"But I left on good terms with her because I want all of my friends to be happy."

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12:30 pm and Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
