Love Island's Amber Gill 'having fun' dating Jen Beattie as she discusses sexuality

Love Island star Amber Gill says she's 'having fun' with her girlfriend Jen Beattie and opened up about her sexuality.

The reality star, 25, won the ITV2 dating competition in 2019 with rugby player Greg O'Shea. The duo's relationship quickly ended after the final.

She moved on with footballer Jen and has been dating her for the last six months after Jen slid into her DMs.

The couple share glimpses into their relationship with their posts on social media and fans are loving every moment of it.

During a recent interview, she was asked whether she has any plans on settling down and having children.

"I've no idea. I still feel like I'm super young. I just enjoy what I do now - I'm having fun, I'm in a good relationship and that's all I care about," she said.

Speaking to new magazine, Amber added she's still 'figuring it all out'.

"I just know there was a certain point where I was like, 'I want to pursue serious relationships with women'," she said.

"I'm still figuring it all out, so I might do some sort of TV or documentary around that because I think it is important for someone to have a story of someone coming out late as well."

Amber and Jen were first seen kissing in the terraces following 31-year-old Jen’s FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup Final win earlier this month.

However, a few “closed-minded” people have reacted by claiming their relationship must be fake, as Amber dated male contestants during her time on the reality show.

“Everybody was really like: ‘We watched you date a man,’” says Amber, with an eye roll. “I was 21. It’s been four years!”

But she praises the majority of her social media followers for embracing her new love.

“I think England is progressive in ways because for all my friends and family it was a non-thing,” she continues. “I didn’t ‘come out’. I was fine.

“We are slowly getting there. What the people before me have done means that I can come out with my girlfriend, I can say I’m in a relationship with a girl and everything is fine, which wasn’t a thing before.

“People were scared of that. I feel in a good position.

“A couple of people saying I’m a fake? I can deal with that.”
