Love Island star Alex Bowen says he's lost a "massive part of my life", following the devastating death of a close friend.
The fitness coach penned a touching tribute to his mate, and shared a carousel of images of special moments.
Taking to Instagram, the reality TV star, who welcomed his first child with former co-star and wife Olivia Bowen in the summer, wrote: "Dunno what im feeling right now but I know that you made my life better, been there for me since the day we met I can’t believe your not gonna see my son grow up but im gonna make sure he knows who his uncle STIG was [love heart emoji].
Alex went on: "I feel like I’ve lost a massive part of my life but I know im gonna celebrate your life every single day and your gonna live on in all of us.
"I just know you’re resting with you’re nan up there right now and that’s all you wanted."
Alex finished his post: "I LOVE YOU BROTHER! [love heart emoji]
Love Island star Alex's wife and friends were quick to share their sympathy.
Olivia wrote: "Love you so much. [love heart emoji]"
While Love Island star and model Georgia Harrison, said: "Sorry for your loss al [two love heart emojis]"
Another Love Island star, Nathan Massey, said: "This is devastating bro! Made me feel so welcome at your stag [crying face emoji] rip pal x"
Olivia also penned her own tribute on Instagram, writing: "Thank you for all the memories. Thank you for being the best friend to the love of my life.
"Thank you for always making me feel like your best friend too. You did that for so many you know."
Alex has had a busy year, having welcomed his son, Abel Jacob, back in June, and keeping the sex of the baby secret throughout Olivia's pregnancy.
Olivia endured quite a difficult time after giving birth to her baby.
The new mum found herself shying away from showing her newborn baby on social media amid a crippling and sudden battle with anxiety and self-doubt after the difficult delivery of Abel.
Looking back on the early days of her motherhood journey after giving birth back in June, Olivia told new! magazine that she felt 'trapped' and anxiety-ridden when it came to posting about her son on social media.
She said: "I had awful anxiety when I first came out of hospital. I'd had quite a difficult birth so I was in quite a lot of pain, and I was worrying so much about every little thing.
Olivia said their baby has bought so much joy into their lives.
Alex's reps declined to add a further comment when approached by the Mirror.
