Love Island sent one 2022 contestant packing in the first dumping of the series on ITV2 on Monday night.
Bombshell Afia Tonkmor was booted out of the villa in scenes the group did not see coming, following the arrival of new boy Jacques O'Neill.
In a savage twist, all of the Islanders were told to gather around the fire pit with two girls at risk of being axed from the show.
After Liam Llewellyn quit the series just days in, Afia became the second exit of the series as she was given her marching orders in brutal fashion, with little time to prepare.
She and co-star Paige Thorne soon learned they were both at risk of leaving, unaware a 'recoupling' was looming.
A text sent shockwaves around the villa, as the group's evening antics were interrupted by the twist.
As the girls realised what was likely about to happen, everyone headed to the fire pit where they were informed someone would be leaving.
Paige and Afia were both single, but the exit of Liam meant no one was dumped on Friday.
Instead, the girls faced being booted off the show on Monday night, but there was a decision to be made.
Afia got a text that read: "Afia and Paige, you are both single. Please stand in the front of the fire pit."
Not only that, but Jacques learned the power was in his hands, and it would be up to him out of Paige and Afia who stayed and who left.
Ultimately, Jacques decided he wanted to pair up with Paige, and this meant she was saved but Afia was still single.
She soon learned her villa time was over, and that she would be leaving the show immediately.
Viewers had been informed before the episode that a dumping was very likely going to take place, and the first-look preview revealed what was in store.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
