Love Island's Adam Collard set for 'plot twist' as odds of winning tumble

Adam Collard could be about to be the centre of a massive Love Island 'plot twist,' as bookies believe he might actually do the unthinkable and win the show.

Adam is one of Love Island's most notorious lotharios, having caused a great deal of controversy back in 2018, with Women's Aid even speaking out on some of his actions on the show. So it came as a huge surprise when the now 26-year-old walked in as a bombshell at the start of last week.

Since his return to Love Island, Newcastle gym owner Adam has only had eyes for one girl - Paige Thorne - with his interest in the Welsh paramedic going up a few notches since Jacques O'Neill quit the show last week. He chose Paige to couple up with a few days ago and then on Sunday night's show, viewers saw the pair share their first kiss.

And that, added to the fact that public opinion on some of the other couples in the villa has taken a downturn, has been enough for various bookmakers to make Adam and Paige the new favourites to win, which fans are saying would be the 'ultimate plot twist' for Love Island.

Betfair now have Adam and Paige at 7/4 to win, ahead of Davide and Ekin-Su, with Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom saying: “Following their first kiss during Sunday’s episode, odds on Adam and Paige to be Love Island’s winning couple have been slashed to 7/4 from 9/4 overnight, making them the new favourites. Luca and Gemma had been the frontrunners to win the £50,000 prize, but the pair’s argument amid the Movie Night fallout has seen their chances drift to 10/3 from 15/8.”

It's the same story with William Hill, with them having Adam and Paige at 2/1 to triumph. Tony Kenny, Head of Sponsorship PR at William Hill, weighed in on the market, commenting: “The infamous movie night has graced the villa, and definitely caused the chaos it's so well known for.

Despite facing her own drama just last week, Paige has landed herself in an enviable position with Adam, who hasn’t any Casa Amor drama to worry about. On the other hand, viewers will surely be tuning in to see the fallout from movie night with the rest of the villa’s couples."
