Love Island's Adam Collard confirms split from Paige Thorne at the NTAs

There have been many rumours circulating about 2022 Love Islanders Adam Collard and Paige Thorne, who is from Swansea, splitting up. And while this year's winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu had mentioned earlier in the week the pair were no longer together, we now have confirmation from Adam, himself.

Speaking at the National Television Awards, Adam told reporters on the red carpet: ""We're not together. Things happen. But I mean she is a great girl."

The couple met while on Love Island when Adam entered as a late bombshell entry and after Paige had had a tricky relationship with Jacques O'Neill. Although they continued their relationship outside the villa, with Adam living in Newcastle and Paige in Swansea, the couple is now no longer together.

Rumours had begun circulating about the pair when Adam was pictured with his arm around another girl after a night out, although his agent released a statement denying cheating claims, and Paige deleted all pictures of Adam from her Instagram.

Love Island 2022 winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu also confirmed that the relationship was over while speaking in an interview earlier this week. She said: "It's over. It's done. I think Paige can do better, that's all I can say...Love Island is a bubble, it's almost like a different world – it's not real. But, when you come out and get... Men will love the attention when they come out, it's overwhelming but, Adam's already had that. So I just felt it was a bit wrong."

Paige, from Swansea, has returned to her pre-Love Island job as a paramedic. It is not believed she attended the National Television Awards but she is set to appear in an ITV Christmas show.

She will be teaming up with fellow Islanders Tasha Ghouri, Antigoni Buxton, Danica Taylor, Andrew Le Page, and Luca Bish to form a singing group to compete on ITV's Britain Get Singing. While in the villa Paige and fellow Islander Gemma Owen, daughter of footballer Michael Owen, performed a duet of My Humps while in the Love Island talent show. Britain Get Singing is set to air during the festive period.
