Love Island host Maya Jama asked viewers 'what the eff is going on" as the Love Island 2023 Reunion revealed the drama that's gone on following the finale, which aired on Monday, March 13 on ITV2. But viewers and fans were disappointed with the pace and content of the show, accusing it of being 'rushed' and 'messy'.
Host Jama quizzed contestants Ron and Lana, Shaq and Tanya, Rosie and Casey and more about their time in the South African villa and one former contestant said he even got off with a potential love interest's best mate. This prompted the frontwoman to ask what was happening.
One viewer said: "This reunion is so messy no one can get a word in." And another wanted it to slow down: "They are really rushing this reunion ugh." While another suggest it should be longer: "the reunion should be two hours man what is all this rushing?"
Another fan did not like the montages of the finalists visiting home and meeting each other's friends and family tweeting: "These montages are so boring!!! They’re ruining this reunion."
The Love Island Reunion comes less than one week after Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan won the winter edition of the series and bagged £50,000, beating Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins. who were the 2023 runners-up, during the live final.
Meanwhile, Tom Clare and Samie Elishi came in third and Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Mahenga were placed fourth. You can see exactly how the live final played out here.
