Love Island Paige Thorne's friends send warning to trolls following episode

Paige Thorne 's friends have sent a warning to trolls. Those looking after the Love Island contestant's Instagram account have urged viewers to be kind, reminding fans of the show that any negative comments will be deleted and those posting them blocked.

It comes after the latest episode of the 2022 series, which saw all the Islanders wear seductive outfits and compete against each other in a sexy challenge to try and raise each others' heart rates.

Sharing a picture of Paige wearing an ice blonde wig and red swimsuit during the challenge, those looking after the Welsh paramedic's account wrote: "Friendly reminder any comments that are even remotely negative towards Paige will be deleted and the people will be blocked."

Paige's loved ones added: "Not having my girl come out to ANY negative vibes."

Last night's instalment saw the challenge ruffle some feathers with Luca, Tasha, Paige, and Indiyah among the contestants left upset when those they were coupled up with had their pulses raised by different Islanders.

Jacques O'Neill, who is coupled up with Paige, had his heart rate raised the most by his ex-girlfriend Gemma Owen. Following the revelation, Paige told Tasha she was "done" with their relationship.

Getting upset in the Beach Hut, Paige told cameras: "The guy I’m meant to be seeing still fancies his ex. I’m done. I know it’s a game, I get that it’s a game but there’s truth behind it.

"For me there's no smoke without fire, he could have fancied any other girl. He could have fancied Tash, Danica, anyone. I don't even care. But an ex? Like, come on. Leave it in the past, it's not funny."

The episode also saw former footballer Michael Owen break his silence on Love Island as he reacted to his daughter taking part in the raunchy challenge on social media. You can read more on this here.

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
