ITV is on the hunt for Scots singletons to take part in this year’s Love Island.
Producers of the show say that they are seeking out “vibrant singles” to take their place in the popular reality show when it returns to our screens in the summer.
Those chosen to participate in the eighth series of the programme will spend time in a luxury villa as they search for their eligible mate.
Scots that fancy a crack on the hit ITV2 show must be aged at least 18, hold a valid passport and be willing to spend at least ten weeks for production of the programme.
The Love Island application form reads: “ITV2 are looking for vibrant single from across the UK who want to head to the sun, in search of love.
“The chosen cast will spend time in a luxury villa, getting to know one another, but to remain in paradise they must win the hearts of the public and their fellow Islanders who ultimately decide the fate on Love Island.”
Scotland’s participation on the hit TV show has been somewhat of a mixed bag since the show first aired in 2015.
Shannon Singh, from Glenrothes, was dramatically dumped from the villa just a day into her stay during last year’s series.
Wishaw’s Harry Young and Glasgow’s Dale Mehmet were also dumped from the show later into the 2021 series.
However, Paige Turley became Scotland’s first winner in 2020 after her coupling with Finn Tapp won the audience over in the first ever winter series of the show in South Africa.
Other Scots contestants that have gone on to big things following their stint on the show include Laura Anderson and Anton Danyluk.
