Could Maura Higgins be ready to make a second appearance on Love Island?
The Irish beauty, 32, has dropped a hint she could be on her way to a villa right now amid rumours an All Stars series is in the works.
Maura, who was a legendary bombshell during the 2019 series of the ITV2 dating show, posted a cryptic update online on Monday.
Sharing a snap taken from the window of an aeroplane, the reality TV star told her Instagram followers: "Bye bye London...for a long time."
Fans think Maura could be swapping the UK for the USA, where ITV reportedly has a studio ready for a potential Love Island All Stars series.
It's rumoured ITV are keen to bring back the likes of Sophie Piper for series six, 2017 winner Kem Cetinay and more former stars for a second crack at love on the show. The speculation follows Kady McDermott entering the villa for a second time this summer and Adam Collard enjoying two separate stints on the show in the past.
"Love Island All Stars is in development at ITV and it is a concept they have been talking about. This summer's series marks the tenth series of the show and ITV thinks there's an appetite for the concept," a source claimed in February. Speaking to The Sun, they added: "The plan would be to invite some of the sexist and most successful former Islanders to see if they can find love for a second time around."
The insider also claimed Maura "would be top of ITV's wish list" when it comes to female stars they would like to see sign up for the spin-off show. Last month, Mike Spencer, an executive producer at ITV, said: "I think I said I’d like to do one last year and then everyone started talking about it! I can’t say anything yet but I’d love to do an all stars!"
Maura made the final of Love Island in 2019, partnering up with dancer and Hollyoaks star Curtis Pritchard following his split from Amy Hart, but had her eye on Tommy Fury when she first entered the villa as a bombshell – despite him being coupled up with her now friend Molly-Mae Hague.
"Of course on Love Island she [Maura] was interested in Tommy for a bit, but there is no issue there," Molly-Mae recalled in her memoir released last year. "After Tommy started getting closer with me, she said to me: 'Look, I'll never go near him again in that way, you know', and ever since then we've been best friends."
She continued to explain how she often visits the former Dancing On Ice contestant in Essex, and added how she and Tommy are actually really good friends. "They're like brother and sister - they make fun of each other 24.7," Molly-Mae wrote, before revealing she often gets a lot of questions about how she can be comfortable with their friendship.
